Autumn Kiss

Acrylic, 16x20
The nice thing about acrylics is how often I can rework or change older paintings. There was something I really didn't like about Autumn Stream ( image below) so I thought I'd play around with it. I never think of a painting as 'precious' so I don't mind experimenting or ruining it. Anyway, with this one I ended up with almost a brand new painting. I'm not sure I'm completly happy with it but I do like it much better.

This is great Linda! The colours are so much warmer and just draw you in. It's quite peaceful now. I like how you added the sky in the negative spaces between the trees. Fantastic job!

Your rework has more of you in it... more interpretation and feeling. It was one of my goals this year to "do something" with the paintings that have their faces to the wall in the studio... six more to go. It's liberating to finish, rework or even gesso over so they won't nag at me!

What a wonderful use of yellows! So bright and inviting.
