Ok, so I took a lot of artistic liberties with this one, by pumping up the reds. But they really do exist. The following is my reference photo and some others just to show the reds are alive at Vermilion lakes.

Great photos and I also like your interpretation of the colour, the heightened reds. "Artistic liberty" is a huge part of the appeal for both art-makers and art appreciators, and you do it very well.
