Wild Beauty

It's been a couple of years since I have painted horses, and I painted horses a lot when I first moved to Calgary. It's Stampede time and I'm frantically trying to get ready. 'Wild Beauty', 48 x 36 inches. This wild stallion is from the Alberta foothills and many thanks to Linda Vick for letting me use her photo.

Linda your work is continuing to inpire me to continue with my paintings. The blue sky and background, in your art, which is on your blog, (would look like in your own home), is fantastic. Did you do the same process for that sky, as you did for the sky we did together in Banff? It was in you April blog. You continue to amaze me with your sense or color and your talent. I am enjoying reading your past blogs and look forward to reading more throughout the year. I finished four paintings, since Banff. I used more texture and more paint. Old habits are hard to change, I keep trying to use acrylics like watercolors, but have far more success when I use less water.

I hope you are well, let me know how you are getting on with your knees.
