From Sentinel Pass
Acrylic, 30 x40 inches
I'd like to say I've been there, but painting this is about as close as I'm going to get to this magnificent place! When I get 'lost' in my painting it's almost as if I'm there. I painted this from a photo and although I tried to stay true to the scene...I took some liberties with my color palette.

What a beautiful painting, this really takes me back and brings up memories of the past.
In 1970 a friend talked me into hiking with him from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake. We went over Sentinel Pass, and I tore my running shoes to shreds climbing up the scree.
Thanks Terry! I wish my knees were better I'd love to take that hike...I bet it was just awesome!
Beautiful painting...really love your work!
Wonderful majestic painting.
